Katherine Nguyen
Development and Advocacy Fellow

Katherine Nguyen

Katherine Nguyen is a University of Richmond alum (Class of 2024) with a degree in Healthcare Studies and minors in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Biology. She was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Northern Virginia in 2004, where she has lived ever since.

Katherine’s interest for reproductive justice was fostered by her upbringing in a tumultuous era of American politics. Through the REPRO Rising Student Advocacy Fellowship, which she completed in the 2021-22 academic year, Katherine was able to redirect her passion to create positive change in her community and college campus. For the rest of her college career, Katherine applied everything she had learned from her fellowship about organizing and reproductive justice to her academic and extracurricular activities: Katherine worked on research projects and student initiatives to increase access to reproductive healthcare within her community; She also served in the Virginia chapter of the Young Feminist Party (formerly Generation Ratify) between 2022 to 2024 as a member of the Lobbying Collective and Policy Committee.

Katherine is excited to join the REPRO Rising team and hopes to contribute to development efforts as the organization continues to advance its mission of protecting and expanding abortion access in Virginia.
