REPRO Rising Virginia PAC Endorses Charlie Schmidt in the House District 77 Special Election

Alexandria, VA – REPRO Rising Virginia PAC, the political action arm of one of the Commonwealth’s leading and only primary reproductive rights, policy, and advocacy organization, is proud to endorse Charlie Schmidt for the Virginia House of Delegates in the 77th District special election.  

Charlie Schmidt is a former ACLU attorney, longtime community advocate, and SEIU Local 512 member whose career has been dedicated to defending civil rights, protecting vulnerable communities, and holding powerful institutions accountable. His work has included standing up for immigrant families targeted by ICE, students denied due process, and communities harmed by corporate polluters and unchecked government action.  

Schmidt has been a clear and consistent champion for reproductive freedom. He supports maintaining access to abortion and contraception, defending healthcare providers from out-of-state prosecution, and advancing constitutional protections for reproductive rights in Virginia. He understands that bodily autonomy is deeply connected to economic security, healthcare access, and dignity for working families.
