As Virginia remains the only state in the South without a post-Roe abortion ban, it is critical that we protect abortion rights, access, and reproductive freedom. At REPRO Rising Virginia, we’re honing our sights on passing a constitutional amendment that enshrines reproductive freedom into the Virginia state constitution. This process is more complicated in Virginia than in other states, but we’re playing the long game.
However, we can’t do this without you and the majority of Virginians who value bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom. We’ll stand outside the clinic, where the FCHC staff and escorts can see us, and be a supportive, positive presence to counter the negativity of anti-choice protesters. We will *not* be counter-protesting or engaging with anti-abortion protestors, but rather focusing on uplifting the people accessing and delivering reproductive healthcare services.
