Gillie is a passionate and active organizer in the Northern Virginia area who has worked on multiple campaigns in the past decade. Growing up in Northern Virginia, he witnessed the passion of his civil service parents at the Department of Commerce which led him to be interested in helping others at a young age. His dedication to human rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and labor rights, have driven him to organize and make connections across the commonwealth. He also carries almost a decade of experience in local and state government, having most recently worked with Senator Boysko. He is proud to help Virginians advocate for fundamental freedoms and looks forward to a majority voting YES this Fall.
Gillie holds dual B.A. degrees in Chinese Literature and Language and International Relations from the College of William and Mary, and a M.S. degree in Geoinformatics and Geospatial Intelligence from GMU. He also received a certificate from Chongqing University.
