Michelle Wooten McFarland is a Mississippi native, who has worked on local advocacy campaigns for nearly a decade. She previously worked with the Mississippi Democratic Party, Mississippi Young Democrats, as well as various local campaigns. She built grassroots support for salient issue campaigns in Mississippi, including ending discriminatory voter I.D. laws and the defense of reproductive rights.
Michelle earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Southern Mississippi. Michelle’s passion for outreach and advocacy has led her to Virginia to fight for the expansion of reproductive healthcare access and vital reproductive healthcare services.
Currently, Michelle serves as our Organizing Manager and resides in the Hampton Roads area. As our Organizing Manager, Michelle manages our Organizing Team and develops culture change programming across Virginia that focuses on de-stigmatizing reproductive healthcare.
